We have gathered some of the best local bluegrass gospel bands that genuinely

represent our mountain heritage. Here is a list of bands that will be attending this years Greenbrier Mountain Festival.

Ray Cooper

Bio

As a Christian Comedian and Inspirational Speaker, Ray Cooper has been doing comedy for 5 years. Ray's hope is to say or do something while entertaining you to change your life for the better!
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me! Philippians 4:15

Greg McDougal

Bio

Greg McDougal and his family began in full time music ministry in 2007.  It all started as a special cause and need in their lives, But God eventually turned into a great desire for them to go and tell of just how real He is through it all!

Rebecca & Jamey

Bio

Rebecca Mae Bagwell is a National and International Multi-Award winning vocalist and entertainer, Nashville, TN. Jamey is a songwriter that creates powerful lyrics that will hit home. He has performed many churches, private events and is now performing with his wife Rebecca, whom he married in February 2022.

Sunday Drive

Bio

Sunday Drive is a multi Dove Award nominated group from Knoxville, TN. Their goal is to present a joyful and upbeat experience that uplifts and encourages, while taking the audience’s mind off of everyday life struggles. Whether with a three-minute song or in an entire concert, Sunday Drive strives to be a light to the world and to share the good news of their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Bio: Tim Simek is the 2011 National Hammer Dulcimer Champion and the 1993 National Mountain Dulcimer Champion.

Andy Leftwich

Bio: Four-time Grammy winning instrumentalist Andy Leftwich began playing the fiddle at the age of six, entering his first contest at seven, and winning the National Championship for Beginners at the age of twelve. Adding mandolin and guitar to his arsenal, Andy began playing professionally at the age of fifteen. Since joining Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder in 2001, Andy has completed a solo album, recorded two critically acclaimed albums as a member of trio Three Ring Circle, and built an impressive list of studio credits, lending his talents to acts such as Steven Curtis Chapman, Keith and Kristyn Getty, Dailey & Vincent, and many more.

Andy Leftwich will be joining the Ben Rochester Family, Saturday, on stage!

Bio

The wit & wisdom of "Gunsmoke's" Festus. Mark's other impersonations are regarded as excellent but his Festus is regarded as EPIC! He has been booked all across the U.S. He is an experienced emcee, inspirational speaker, and have preached in churches on occasion.

Bio

Appalachian music from the Great Smoky Mountains - Old-Time, Gospel, Celtic, Original Folk. Songs and stories that celebrate Appalachian tradition, Scots-Irish heritage, and the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Knight Family

Bio

Hailing from the same hills that brought the world The Carter Family and Mountain Gospel favorites like the Singing Cookes & McGlothlins, The Knight Family is steeped in Southern Gospel and Appalachian music.  The family has been traveling all across America since 1986 singing the praises of the Savior.

Chris Moriarty

Bio: Chris Moriarty, an East Tennessee native, grew up just a few miles from country legends Dolly Parton and Kenny Chesney. Immersed in the rich musical heritage of his hometown, Chris developed a deep passion for songwriting and performance. His musical journey has taken him through the realms of rock, gospel, and country, allowing him to craft a unique and heartfelt sound.

Out of the Ashes

Bio: Out Of The Ashes is a Gospel Trio based out of North Georgia with over 14 years of combined experience. They love to use music to spread the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They are not performers. They are all about reaching out to the lost and hurting or even just sitting and praying with another Brother or Sister in need.

Ben Rochester Family

Bio

Locust Ridge

Bio

Locust Ridge is a Mountain style bluegrass gospel band from the hills of east TN. It is a ministry first mission for the band. Most songs are originals with some old songs threw in. The band has worked along side such talents as The Primitive Quartet, The inspirations, Reggie Saddler, Steve Gulley, Dale Ann Bradley, Marty Raybon, and Doyle Lawson. A group of guys devoted to the fans, friends, family, church, each other, and most importantly our savior Jesus Christ.

The Shultz Family

Bio: A loving family who wants to share about Jesus and what He has done for us through song! The Shultz Family traveled, spreading the Word of God, until 2016 when God sent us in a different direction, and to focus on our home church. In 2018, tenor singer & rhythm guitar player, Dustin Shultz, became pastor of our home church, Hills Creek Baptist Church. We are still singing God's praises every chance we get and doing everything we can to reach out to a lost, dying and hurting community. To give them hope in Jesus, even when all seems lost. To show others there is a Savior who loves them so much, that He gave His life for each of them. We hope to show them the love of God through our lives and actions.

Andrew & MaryBeth

Bio: Andrew + MaryBeth Jones are a husband-and-wife music duo based out of Upstate South Carolina. Since being married in 2016, they have traveled throughout the country writing and performing Christ centered acoustic/gospel music at churches and venues.
