While our Tabernacle Experience has been a beloved part of previous Passion Play events, we will be forgoing it for this year’s production in order to focus fully on the live drama of Christ’s life, death, and resurrection. Lord willing, we look forward to bringing back this unique and powerful recreation of the ancient Tabernacle for next year’s Passion Play in the Smokies.

Live Outdoor Easter Drama in Greenbrier, TN

Experience the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ in the beautiful Smoky Mountains!
Join us for the 3rd Annual Passion Play of the Smokies in Greenbrier, TN, presented by Hills Creek Baptist Church. For over 26 years, this powerful production has been bringing the Gospel to life, traveling from Townsend to Pigeon Forge, and even neighboring Gatlinburg. Now, we’re back in Greenbrier to share the greatest story ever told.

The Passion Play begins with John the Baptist announcing the coming of the Messiah. From there, you’ll witness breathtaking live scenes including the Sermon on the Mount, miraculous healings, and Christ’s loving encounters with people from all walks of life. The drama is narrated by Nicodemus, guiding you through the ministry, the cross, and the glorious resurrection of Jesus.

Outdoor event – held rain or shine in a realistic setting representing old Jerusalem.
